Gretchen Meier

Gretchen is our Content Director and is in charge of making sure we know what we are talking about! Gretchen has worked as a print and online journalist for various news and entertainment publications including Los Angeles Times Community News (Burbank Leader, Coastline Pilot, Daily Pilot, Glendale News-Press), Orange County Local News Network and LAT Extra. She has been published in/tweeted for/blogged across Southern California as part of Greer’s OC and Brand X and even had a few stories linked on ChicagoTribune.com and ProPublica.org.

Gretchen also moonlights as our guest allergy blogger and tries to keep her life healthy – with a few delicious gluten-free exceptions. She holds two bachelor’s degrees in both communication and political science from USC and has traveled the world with the USC Trojan Marching Band. Gretchen is pictured with her trusty assistant, Boo Radley, an adorable two-year-old “schnorkie.”

Jaime Komer

Jaime is a Health Writer for myHealthyOC.com and keeps us informed of all of the latest health trends. Also an ambassador for lululemon Athletica, Jaime helps us to all be inspired by the lululemon culture (have you ever read their awesome manifesto on their bags?)   If you bump into her, don’t be surprised if she asks you, “How do YOU like to sweat?”

Having resided in Orange County for about eight years now, Jaime first made her way down from her hometown of Fresno, to go to UCLA for a degree in psychology. While at UCLA, Jaime brought home three NCAA Championships, as well as being an All-American all four years. Taking her competitive drive to the next level, Jaime played for the USA Women’s National Water Polo team for five years, during which she earned two gold medals and a silver at the World Championships. In 2008 she also earned a silver medal at the Olympic Games in Beijing, China.

Though she still enjoys getting her feet wet, Jaime made her way out of the pool and into the studio. Teaching at YAS East Costa Mesa and Escape Pilates on 17th Street in Newport Beach. With seven orthopedic surgeries, Jaime openly embraces living a positive and healthy lifestyle, and brings this energy and focus into every aspect of her life.

Jaime is also the founder and designer of her own jewelry line, James K. Designs, where she specializes in detailed wire wrapping and one of a kind custom pieces. Like in every aspect of her life, she takes special care in creating and sharing something genuine, personal, and vibrant.

Head of all things social for myHealthyOC.com, Jaime leads our charge for Facebook, Twitter, Linked In and YouTube. Leveraging her vast experience in marketing for Seventeen Magazine and Los Angeles Confidential Magazine, Jaime knows how to build great online communities and is leading the charge for innovative marketing methods in this space.

Enhanced by her bachelor’s degrees in communication and political science from USC, Jaime has helped to develop sponsorship, marketing and branding strategies for an array of clients including FIJI Water, Arbonne International, Prostate Cancer Foundation, Hollywood & Highland and many others. She is completely dedicated to providing our clients a commitment to their brand and leveraging our myHealthyOC platform to ensure that we are delivering the best in online marketing.

Alex Falk

As our Sales Director, Alex is our revenue machine!  As she will tell you, there are many marketing and sales professionals out there that someone can hire, but very few who have the skills, creativity and integrity also needed to truly help organizations with their marketing, sales, and business development efforts.

Leveraging her extensive corporate and entrepreneurial experience, Alex’s mission is to help our clients develop a growth strategy that will produce results.  If you are looking for a great marketing partner, Alex can be a very valuable resource for your business.

The fifth generation Californian is a business marketing graduate from San Jose State. Alex is an AMAZING cook, loves to travel, exercise like a maniac and spend time with friends and family.

Vinutha James

Vinutha is Marketing Director by day, wife and mom by night, and not always in that order. Park, phone calls, preschool, meetings, play-dates, negotiations, proposals … her week is a balance of work and raising two amazing children. She is in charge of making sure people hear about us and keeping us looking good! We’re thrilled to have Vinutha’s expertise and experience from working on iconic brands such as Ketel One Vodka, Gateway Computers, National Football League and Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate.

A graduate from UC San Diego with a bachelor’s degree in communication and an M.B.A. from Vanderbilt University, Vinutha is a resident of south Orange County and enjoys traveling, cooking and hiking. She is a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority and volunteers with Adopt-A-Park.

Michelle Rafalik

Michelle is our star graphic designer and artist! From branding to designing packaging and websites to managing photo shoots, she enjoys the creative challenge in making our clients and us look great and unique. A graduate from Simmons College, her enthusiasm for design, witty personality and diversity of skills is a great combination for all types of projects.

Michelle is inspired by photography, art and has a natural delight for learning. Her creativity has attracted clients in the automotive, health care and exhibition design industries to name a few. With boundless enthusiasm and a sunny disposition, she might just knock your socks off!

Kelly Wurtz

Kelly is our CPA and keeper of the cash.  Kelly started her accounting career when she was 10 balancing her mom’s checkbook. She loves to manage money, just ask her husband!  From private corporations to Deloitte to Windes & McClaughry, she has worked as a professional accountant for eight years.

Kelly has two rambunctious little boys that keep her on her toes and off her computer.  Her two little guys have inspired her to obtain and provide a healthier lifestyle, including organic produce and lots of sunshine.  She is excited to combine her passion for accounting with her passion for good health.

Shelley Cloyd

Shelley is the founder and head gal in charge of helping to build a fun, local, health based web community in Orange County, California. After spending many years building businesses she decided it was time to finally do something cool on her own and here we are, myHealthyOC.com! Launched as a vertical web outlet to her marketing company, So Fun Media, her mission is to create innovative marketing strategies for partners and helping local businesses grow.

Shelley is a mom to two great kids, Hayley and Jack, and is the best wife EVER (right, Kevin?)  She loves being active, living a pretty healthy lifestyle (can’t cut out wine OR dessert), traveling the world and having as much fun as possible on a daily basis.  So-so skier, learning to golf, loving all of the fun we are having bringing together health minded folks in our community.
